Bio

Graduate (1990), Master (2005) and Ph.D. (2010) in Management, all courses at the University of São Paulo (USP). Visiting fellow at the Cranfield University (2009). Lecturer in the management program at Economics, Business and Accounting School at University of Sao Paulo (FEA-USP). Former lecturer in Master’s Program in Management at the University Paulista (UNIP), in Graduate Program in Management and Professional Master’s in Management – Environmental Management and Sustainability, both at the Nove de Julho University (UNINOVE). FEA-USP’s representative in the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME). Scientific Coordinator of ENGEMA – International Meeting on Business Management and Environment, since 2014. Organizer of the 4th Research Management Education (RME) Conference (supported by the UNDP) in Brazil, in 2017. Co-Editor of RAUSP – Management Journal (Emerald Publishing). Project coordinator funded by CNPq. Supervisor in theses and dissertations, as well as a researcher mainly on the following topics: strategic management, organizational performance management and sustainability management.

Abstract

This presentation has two main goals. First, to present the main concepts and tools in sustainability performance measurement and management. And second, to discuss the barriers to an effective management of sustainability performance in firms.
